Silvio from Perth is close to completing his Custom Chopper that he constructed from Botany MotorCycles parts using the Build-a-Bike feature on the web page at www.botanymc.com
A fabulous job and only 2 & 1/2 months of construction so far. Congratulations on a sweet looking machine Silvio.

The 10th Annual V-Twin expo was held last week in Cincinnati Ohio and Botany Motorcycles were there to put some hard yards into expanding our range.
The show is seriously big and we were able to look at and get hold of the latest in bike bling, clothing/accessories and custom build, chopper parts. Cindy is frantically getting orders out to suppliers so that we can put the new products up on the web site as soon as possible. Alan’s working with suppliers to get quality pictures up on the web during the coming 2-3 weeks.
In addition to products that will make it to our stock list Botany now has access to a larger number of quality suppliers of top class gear than before. So whatever look our customers are after we can probably source it. Just needs an email or a phone call.
Here’s a picture of Al and I braving the cold in the name of bike bits.
All the best for now

Yep we’ve done it. The January SALE at Botany MotorCycles has just been extended.
The old stock is out and new stock is arriving. BUT thanks to the Australian Dollar we are able to keep our low prices for longer.
Up to 20% off just about everything in stock.
Thanks again for your support in January that has encouraged us to extend this fabulous offer.
Keep those calls and emails coming.
Rossco.

Crazy we might be, but the sale continues throughout January and more stock is arriving to cover the items that we were getting low on because of the huge response we have had. Thanks to the strength of the Aussie Dollar we can keep the sale going on the new items for the rest of the month.
To all customers who have supported us thanks for the confidence you have shown in Botany MotorCycles and good luck on your projects this summer.
Talking of projects; most if not all of our enquiries include questions about
- bike builds
- ICV rules and ADR regulations
- tricky questions about assembly or servicing of bikes.
Its amazing how much info there is out there amongst our customers and suppliers.
So why not write in with your question. BMC will do everything we can to get it answered for you. I’m compiling a lot of data to start posting, but would be wrapped to get some help with prioritising it.
First post will be about front end rakes. Thanks to Kirsten and some fancy mathematics we are working on a front end rake calculator; so you put your degrees of rake and length of forks into the calculator and it tells you the horizontal distance from the middle of the frame neck to the front axle.
All the best for this week … I’m off for a ride with some mates travelling north from Melbourne. Cindy gave me the day off!!

Yes … the Botany MotorCycles January Sale rocks on.
Unfortunately a temporary I.T. glitch, ditched the sale prices for a few hours this week. Fortunately the problem has been resolved…and the sale rolls on…and no customers were affected.
Thanks to all for their New Year Greetings to our email and enquiry calls to 1300 379992. Keep them coming.

Hey Viewers.
Here’s a picture of my pride and joy … the bike that totally got me hooked on Big V-Twins. Its a 2007 Dyna Wide Glide® (with extras) . Bought it in December ‘07 and the guy who had it had it before me had put a lot into the bike including the Deuce rear wheel which I must admit looks pretty special. First year I had the bike I put 11,000k on the clock … any challengers??
But I now have some problems in the Wheel department. For the Sydney riders amongst us … ever ridden the M5 east through the M7 interchange? Probably the worst case of wind tunnel you can get locally. Well this Duece rear wheel has often caused me to want to change lanes without indicators … if you catch my drift … even with 230 kg of bike plus my 100kg!!! I cruise this road often seeing customers and prefer riding the wide glide than driving the ute (have to use the ute to deliver parts a lot – bugger). And to make matters worse the original front wheel spokes are pitted with rust and look like s**t.
So I’ve decided to replace the wheels with the Bayonet II wheels on the BotanyMC web site. (Wanted to do it for my birthday in June but couldn’t raise the funds so its now a Christmas prezzie). I’ve seen these suckers in the flesh and I gotta tell you that the web site pictures don’t do them justice.
So I’m off to make my purchase and will try to take a better picture of these wheels to put on the Blog… and will get pictures of the changeover to post as well. Jeez I hope they look good. Maybe I’ll get a discount for promoting them if they look good.
P.S. The bike looks good huh??

There have been a number of enquiries about the BMC100® and more often than not they’ve been about the tank. How does it look, how much fuel, etc. So I thought I’d dig out a couple of photos of the various prototypes we’ve built to give viewers an idea of how it looks on our bike.
So here’s a view from the back on the first prototype
and here’s one taken from the side in the same Cherry Apple Red that was on the number two bike we had on display at the Campbelltown Custom Rod & Bike show in September.
As for specifics heres a link to the tank page at www.botanymc.com which has all of the data, click on http://www.botanymc.com/gas-tank-4-7-gal-w-screw-in-cap.html and while your at it suggest you check out a gas cap to go with it. I recommend the “Pop-up Gas Caps” on the site at this link http://www.botanymc.com/gas-cap.html.
Hope you like the tank.
